I completed my first PhD in the Department of Regenerative Medicine at Nankai University in 2019, where my research focused on elucidating and modulating the interactions between stem cells and the extracellular matrix to promote skin repair and regeneration.

I subsequently completed a second PhD at the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, University of Oxford, under the supervision of Prof. Ling-Pei Ho. During this time, my project aimed to delineate the interactions between immune cells and lung epithelial cells in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and chronic lung injury. By integrating single-nucleus sequencing technologies with murine lung injury models, this research provided a unique opportunity to identify and characterise distinct subpopulations of alveolar type I cells across both acute and chronic lung injury.

In 2026, I joined the Lloyd Lab as a postdoctoral researcher. My current work focuses on investigating immune–stromal crosstalk in asthma, with particular emphasis on interactions between type 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s), fibroblasts, and extracellular matrix.
