Sara Patti – PhD Student<\/h3>

My PhD project focuses on understanding the underlying mechanisms and cell-to-cell interactions that drive airway remodeling in chronic lung diseases (asthma, COPD, and IPF) by leveraging a combination of immunological and bioinformatic techniques, including spatial transcriptomics and image mass cytometry. As a part of my MultiSci MRC DTP program, also I completed an MRes in Data Science at Imperial with research components focusing on multi-omic analysis and integration (scRNAseq, proteomics, metabolomics) as well as pathway analysis (single sample PA and conventional PA).\u00a0 Prior to undertaking my PhD, I worked for several years in early drug discovery investigating potential drug targets and developing novel therapeutics as a member of the Leukocyte Tissue Interface group in the Inflammation and Immunology research unit at Pfizer in Cambridge, MA USA. In addition to my research experience, I have completed a BSc in Biology and BA in History at Boston before relocating to Dublin to undertaken my MSc in Immunology at Trinity College Dublin, with a research component carried in the Lynch Lab.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
