Rachele Invernizzi – PhD Student

I graduated with a BSc in Biological Sciences (First Class Honours) from the University of East Anglia in 2016. During my final year of studies, I conducted extensive research in the department of Gut Health and Food Safety at the Institute of Food Research and at The Genome Analysis Centre in Norwich. In 2017, I completed an MRes in Biomedical Research (Distinction) at Imperial College London, where I continued to research the microbiome and gained considerable experience in the fields of metabolomics and applied bioinformatics. I am currently a PhD student in the National Heart and Lung Institute at Imperial College London. My research focuses on understanding the role of the microbiome and metabolome in the development and progression of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
